BIOGRAPHY
MITCHELL THORBURN
Born in Auckland, Mitchell Thorburn spent most of his life in Auckland NZ, other than living in Melbourne, Australia for 3 years.
Has always been interested in Film since primary school by going to cinemas to see the latest releases, made his first film when he was 16 and made 3 more during his time at high school. Winning 'Best Action' when he was 18.
Took a one year hiatus and studied Communications at AUT, making montage videos for YouTube and other forms of Social Media.
Returned to Film Making by creating his first short film 'LE PHOTOGRAPHE' in a year with South Seas Film and Television. A film about the Supernatural and the Art of 35mm Photography.
A Photographer, a Videographer, a Scuba Diver and a Storyteller. Mitchell Thorburn has his sights set on more ambitious projects to come.

Operation Redemption is a Neo - Noir film based around the Cold War, it follows a New Zealand Military Spy that goes to East Germany to stop a Communist Group threatening NATO Nations.

The story is about a self-made CEO of a Production Company who thinks he is invincible, loves his women. He meets a women that will forever change his ways.

The Gulf is a story about a young environmentalist who stumbles upon corruption at his Uncle's Firm.

Millennial is about finding conflicts in both a professional and a personal relationship.
The Story follows two young female documentary directors who's clashes of opinions lead to the truth.

Can a Camera Hold More Than Just Photos
Colt Michaels, a 20 year old photographer buys a rare vintage camera to pursue 35mm Photography. After shoot with it he notices a mysterious shadow.
He later discovers a spirit who's been trapped in the camera for 55 years. This leads The Photographer to investigate the origins of the Camera.

Aquanaut is my first Production like Under water Film I've made this year.
Overall story is about what it will be like to dive in gear from the early days of Scuba Diving in the 21st Century.

Conteur tells the origin story about Chanel, the 35mm Camera and her ex - partner Jack and how it ties into Le Photographe.
